The Day After Session: Heather and Sean

Note: This session was shot last September.  Ahhh! That’s crazy!

You may remember this gorgeous couple.  I was there for their engagement session, their wedding, and now for their day after session. Heather and Sean are two of the most genuine people that I’ve ever met.  They are warm and friendly and let’s just say completely awesome.  Am I too old to say that?

Again, Rebecca (the other Rebecca), let me come along.

Hiatus – Is that what I’m calling it?

When last I left you it was Halloween.  Yes, I did just type that.  It’s been over 10 months since I last blogged.  Wow, am I horrible or what?  Okay, don’t answer that.  There really isn’t any excuse for my none bloggingness, this is the one I came up with though . . .

No, that is not a zebra’s behind, that was my belly.  Ginormous wasn’t it?  As big as it was and as uncomfortable as it got, I think it produced some pretty fine results . . .

This is Alexander.  He joined our family on June 21.  He came into the world fast and furious.  Whoa momma!  I think he’s pretty perfect and worth all the time I didn’t spend blogging.  But I’m back now and rarin’ to go.  I didn’t blog over the last 10 months but don’t worry, I’ll update you on EVERYTHING.  Hold onto your britches folks!

Chelsea Ellingson - Hooray!!
Sweet little baby boy. He’s precious, I think we can forgive you for the hiatus. It happens to the best of us. :-)

Chocolate Fast {101 in 1001} #16

I DID IT!!!  Yes, that deserved all caps.

I am a total chocolate addict and not in the I’m a woman and most women like chocolate kinda way.  I mean in the ‘maybe I’ll have to chew my own hand off if I don’t get me some’ kinda way.  Maybe a little dramatic?

But despite that I was able to go 3 entire weeks without an ounce of chocolate.  Not one lick passed my lips, even during Halloween when Lydia made a mess of chocolate and I ended up getting it all over my hands and was tempted to lick it off, nope not even then.  Even when Caleb asked me to open his fun size Snickers bar and the smell hit me like a ton of bricks, not even then.  And the best part is that when I finally broke my chocolate fast, I wasn’t as satisfied as I thought I would be.  Sure it tasted good but it was more like, ehe, really?  This is what I’ve been missing?

So, yeah for me!

becci ames - Yay for you!

Angella - Yay! I’m very impressed…. maybe I should try this, too!

Halloween Part I {The Tiny Tots}

I’m not much of a Halloween person.  Don’t care to dress up, go out into the cold, dark night, knock on stranger’s doors, and beg for candy.  Doesn’t really appeal to me, even for the candy.  But since I have kids, it is only fair that they should get to experience the “joys” of the holiday.

Luckily for us, our town offers the little ones a respite from the bitter cold nights and puts on a Trick-or-Treating around Old Town during the day.

Lydia WAS NOT A FAIRY, she was Barbie’s Thumbelina (by the way, the Barbie Thumbelina movie has nothing to do with the Thumbelina fairytale, in case you were wondering) and Caleb was a clown.

becci ames - Caleb and the balloon is my fave!!!

We Like It Raw {101 in 1001} #17

Aren’t these gorgeous?  White gold is what I like to call them.

We finely made the switch to RAW milk.  I had been meaning to do it for a while but kept putting it off for some reason.  It is not for the faint of pocket book but “we” (Kevin’s sorta going along with it) feel it is worth the sacrifice.

If you have not done any research on the benefits of RAW I highly recommend it.  I have spent the last few months reading articles and books about the wonders of clean RAW milk.  Clean being the opporative word.  And after finding a local dairy that sells cow shares (for that is they only way other than owning your own cow to get RAW milk in Colorado) and taking a little tour of the dairy and sampling their white gold, we took the plunge.

Evan: 1 Year Pictures

Colds and more colds, garlic ranch chicken pizza, and school.  That’s pretty much all that has been going on here.  Poor mister Caleb has had a cold for the last week and a half and hasn’t been able to go to church because of it.

I know, the life of a photographer mom sounds so glamorous.  It is what it is, and it’s ALL mine!

I was able to tag along with the fab Miss Rebecca to this little charmer’s 1 year pictures.

becci ames - These are Fantastic! I love them all.

becci ames - But, I’ve decided the first is my fave.
